All of our passionate and dedicated teachers meet the highest international standards with formal qualifications and extensive experience in teaching English to adults.

Our minimum requirements for teachers are:

  • education to degree level or equivalent qualification
  • a certificate level qualification in teaching English as a foreign language such as Cambridge University CELTA or Trinity College London CertTESOL
  • at least two years’ teaching experience
  • high proficiency in the use of the English language 

Dina Pazarbasi

Teacher

I’m Dina and I’ve been teaching English since 2005. I worked for the British Council in Myanmar for two years. I hold a Cert TESOL. I’m passionate about teaching, languages, as well as cooking. I strive to deliver engaging lessons where students feel comfortable and participate actively to improve their English skills. Additionally, I am very patient, and I firmly believe that there are never silly questions – so if you’re in doubt, please don't hesitate to ask.

Elif Erguvan

I’m Elif, an English language enthusiast since childhood, fostering global connections. Holding a BA in English Philology, CELTA, MA in Education Administration, I’m advancing towards PhD. Teaching since 2019, diverse groups and courses like English for Military and Journalists, I prioritise a warm, supportive atmosphere, encouraging active engagement and celebrating progress. I find joy in new acquaintances, exploring the world, and indulging in music, both as an aficionado and vocalist.

Magda Lera

Teacher

I've been teaching English since 2019, first in Brazil and now in Georgia. I have a master's degree in teaching, and CELTA certificate. I enjoy teaching learners of all ages. My approach involves creating a fun and relaxed environment where students can practice English comfortably, enhancing their fluency and confidence without feeling burdened. When I'm not teaching, I'm usually reading in a park or exploring the city. I also enjoy socializing with friends, hiking, and swimming.

Mehdi Safavi

I’m Mehdi a Cambridge certified English teacher.  I’ve been teaching since 2002. At the British Council, I teach IELTS preparation courses, corporate English courses, and general English both online and face-to-face. My motto in teaching is that English lessons must be fun because you can’t learn much unless the experience is pleasant. When I’m not teaching, I spend my time web designing and producing educational content for my websites…. and of course, playing with my little daughter.

Natia Khardziani

Senior Teacher Young Learners

I’m Natia and I've been teaching English since 2000. Holding an MA in English Philology, I possess qualifications including CELTA, TYLEC, and DELTA (1). Throughout my career, I've taught diverse age groups and proficiency levels. I strive to create a safe learning environment that fosters creativity, collaboration and respect. I love gardening and travelling . A guiding principle in my life is: 'If you can dream it, you can do it' (Walt Disney).

Nazi Iritspukhova

I started teaching English in 2013. Since then, I have taught a wide range of age groups. I hold CELTA and TYLEC  certificates. In my lessons, I always strive to develop 21-century skills in my students. I enjoy creating a positive and friendly learning environment by engaging students in life-relevant interactive activities. For me, teaching is an opportunity for both teachers and students to share knowledge, interests, and ideas. I like working out, listening to music, and reading books.

Nino Alkhidze

I’m Nino and I’ve been teaching English since 2018. I graduated from Tbilisi State University and got my MA degree in English Philology. I have done several training courses including CELTA. In 2016 I got a scholarship for studying Erasmus+ programme in Spain where I had a possibility to become a trainee at the faculty of Business and Economics and teach English to local students. In my free time I like hanging out with my friends, travelling, and learning new languages.

Nino Chkadua

I’m Nino and I’ve been teaching English since 1999. I hold a university degree in Pedagogy. In addition, I have done several training courses, among them CELTA, DELTA and TYLEC.  I have been a Cambridge ESOL Speaking Examiner since 2015. I particularly enjoy teaching general English to adults regardless of their level of linguistic competence and needs. Besides teaching My core belief is that while teaching students should enjoy the learning process and see clear benefits and outcomes.

Nino Kantaria

I'm Nino, thrilled to have been part of the British Council Georgia team since 2015. Teaching English has been my passion, and I've equipped myself with an MA in Teaching English Language, alongside CELTA and TYLEC certifications. Beyond work, I find joy in spending time with my family – my three children keep life lively and fulfilling. And you can often find me enjoying the company of our feline companions, as there's something special about the affection and devotion of a cat.

Nuka Ketiladze

I’m Nuka and my journey with the British Council began in 2021 when I started working as a Customer Excellence Officer. I gained valuable experience and had the opportunity to participate in the Teacher Apprentice Programme. Since obtaining my CELTA in 2021, I have had the chance to connect with globally minded professionals from the British Council. My main aim in the classroom is to implement active learning using communicative and visual methods to achieve better results.
